I have 1.25" visual back but I don't know what scopes it is compatible with.

The ID of the ring is 48mm. 1.25" on the other end and I assume the barrel has T threads on the outside.

Some tried it out on an older 8" Meade SCT and did not thread on.

Here are some pics:

Could it possibly fit a Criterion or Bausch& Lomb Sct? I have a visual back for a Criterion or Bausch & Lomb, the female threads-at the top measure about 1-15/16" or 49mm.

Moved over from Cats and Casses, in hope of a definitive answer!

It is not for a Dynamax. The Dynamax VB had a distinctive serrated edge and a proprietary thread pitch.

The set screws are distinct from what I've seen. That might help if original.

Older Celestrons have a slightly larger VB thread pitch than newer ones, even though they are the same technical specs. Newer visual backs often bind on old Celestrons and the older visual backs are sloppy on the newer Celestrons. Try putting it on a newer scope.

It appears to be a common VB with two set screws.
