I was doing a bit of re-processing of some "old" images from February and thought this take of the Eratosthenes area on the terminator might be of interest.

Eratosthenes is a beautiful crater but rapidly becomes anonymous as the sun rises over it.

Lovely image!   The diversity of features in this frame, especially the Large 1600 x 1533 version in your gallery, is fantastic!

As I was zooming in and around your image, I saw a unique oval depression which appears to be maybe a collapsed lava tube or possibly a low angle impact crater?

I dropped a pin of the aforementioned oval depression into Quickmap.

You really do have "eagle eyes". But very pleased to see that such a feature - some kind of oval pit...collapsed lava tube...is resolvable on the image.

The QuickMap data gives dimensions of around 4km x 1km, so around 0.5" which is pretty good.

I missed this image, Jeff. Very nice. My favorite dome, Yangel 1, is in the upper right.

Cheers, Mike.

I wasn't sure where Yangel was, so went onto Quickmap. Yangel, Rima Yangel and, yes, that is one beast of a dome!

Looked in better resolution on the laptop and very clearly visible on the CN image above.

Hope I got this right - certainly "domy" to me on Quickmap!

Great capture of Yangel 1.  If you look left and up, you will see the "rille of Pi"......not official, my name for it.

Yes, I like the Pi rille  along with that snakey rille adjacent to it.

Have we discussed Yangel previously? Glad that Mike pointed it out.

Mike, thanks for the link.

I'd forgotten about "Ina", which is number 99 or 100 in Wood's Lunar 100.

I really ought to spend more time examining the images I take (I send them to Scott to do this....lol!) rather than just taking and processing them.
