I have the below configuration of 4 scopes on a L550 mount ranging from 530mm to 3490mm focal length. The three scopes on the inner fork are each mounted on an Optec Libra or Bubba. I have built pointing models for the TEC MC200 (3490mm) and the TEC180FL (1260mm). I can do unguided 20 minute exposures with either scope using the associated pointing model however I cannot, most of the time, image with the TEC180 and MC200 at the same time and neither pointing model is good for both. I adjusted the Libra on the MC200 against Procyon near the equator and got the MC200 within 88" in Dec and 2" in RA. I am trying to validate my understanding that this tracking problem is due to the DEC error. However, some collections give good stars in both and I don't quite know why. Last night I imaged Abell 35 using the MC200 model and got reasonable stars in both scopes. It is at -22.9 dec. I am thinking that if I get a motorized version of the Libra that that can solve tis problem.

Thanks

Kurt

Keeping multiple refractors in alignment with each other is hard enough.

Even small amounts of flexure can affect pointing and imaging accuracy.

With reflecting scopes, especially long focal length ones it is even harder to do.

Any mirror or tube movement will reduce pointing accuracy and image quality.

The MC 200 will usually show more image issues due to the longer focal length.
