27 March 2025,  I am going to be clouded out for some time...that my excuse for this post!

As can be seen from the top image, the famous 'Sailfish prom' posted recently and most attractively by Rigel is sadly submerging and in my image has lost its claim to fishy fame.

That top image was taken with a Lunt DS80 Antares 1.6x barlow and ZWO 533mm at 0058-2 UT.

With my solar imaging hopes also sunk, I just played around, using the ZWO676mc with the Lunt DS80 for Ha and with the Vixen SF80 and Lunt Herschel wedge for white light. The slightly sepia 676mc white light disc looked a little interesting but although based on many more frames this white light image was a significantly noisier than the ZWO 533mm version.  Not that there is much detail to show in either case.

Tuning was a bit out for my Ha images and I found it too hard to show both good disc detail of the filaments yet do justice to the faint proms with my quite basic Wavefront 2 GIMP methodology, so I resorted to an inverted image which gave a nice blue color to what I assume are flares in the top left plege region,

Hey, I still see the top fin and tail!  Love the full disk color, which is a pretty good representation of a visual look through an Ha scope.
