And don’t forget the AP190 CS f/6! Very interesting and I wonder how much they will cost.

Amazing specs! Congrats to AP, the bar has been reset on apo refractors. Short f-ratio, narrow air spaces and lens perfection
I don't like short f-ratio, but it will make these two scopes useable on smaller mounts and tripods. F/6 and this type of performance is ridiculous! These two scopes appear to be the crowning achievement of a long career of breaking through barriers of refractor performance
And a 190mm for only 34 pounds? There are 152's that weigh nearly that much.

>>The 155mm CS is not available for ordering and there is currently no available notification list.
So it took me about 30 minutes to decide I want one

There are a bunch of us on the notification list from 25 years ago. I hope they will be making enough to get to my name at some point.

Just got the email form A-P.
The Astro-Physics 155 Starfire f/6 CS looks like an amazing new scope for imagers, along with the new 190 CS.

So it took you 30 minutes to sell a kidney or a kid?

I'd sign up if possible. Whether I could afford it these days is another story.

I'm definitely interested, and hope everyone who wants one will eventually get one.

Would you see any differences at the eyepiece between these new CS scopes and the most recent model f/6.3-f/7.5 (155/160/175) EDFs? The biggest difference will be the shorter focal lengths. These will be very expensive observing scopes.

I'll sign up - assuming a list is opened - whether or not my name comes up in my lifetime is another matter...

Karen Christen told me today that they will use the existing list.
Yes, for the 155mm. Any indication from the AP folks as to whether they intend to put the 190 into production and, if so, what their plan is for putting them into the hands of customers?

That puts it firmly out of reach for me.

I was thinking about that - the f/7.5 160EDF will probably reign supreme as the best 6-inch AP ever made....for viewing planets & DSO's. Whatever advantage the new one has won't overcome the 5mm aperture bonus I would think. The shorter f-ratio and optics will make the new one best for photorgraphers.
Since I got a 160EDF off the old waiting list I have no hope there, used up my spot already, but maybe they'll add in some people from a new lottery too and the same w/ the 190mm.

I don't know if the 160 was as good as this:

I'm somewhat optimistic about the chances for those of us that aren't on the old list. Supposedly they were never going to make enough Stowaways either, but there have been multiple iterations of that lottery now and close to a thousand have been produced. If these new scopes reach a quarter of that number, they will probably exhaust the old list. There aren't that many people signing up to buy a $15,000+ telescope.
That's my optimistic take.
