My experience is that Tele Vue are very good at knowing how far a design can be pushed before the performance falls beneath their (high) standards. Other brands seem willing to push further and, sometimes, accept some small compromises in performance.

With Explore Scientific of the ES92's being an example of compromises that TV was unwilling to make:

1. Weight.

2. Dioptrx incompatibility.

Which is why it's good to have options. I love TeleVue for their consistency, and plan to fill out my Delites/Delos. Perhaps the N7s, depending on what others say about the ER.

But others, Morpheus and ES92s, are just as good if not better than some of TV's offerings (except for the Morphii on Planetary because of the scattered light issue).

But for optical fidelity, it is hard to beat the Delites/Delos/Ethos.
