I said flower as a joke since some missed that. This cost 3 times less than a 10mm bigger TSA.

Chas's posts sometimes need some translation W/O = William, Flower = Flouro :-)
Now I know, too what he's purchased. Some jealousy, but only a bit for I don't want more than a doublet. This one I certainly wouldn't buy if not side by side tested with the TSA 120, which I know a bit in between as a benchmark.
In case it's optically level I'd prefer it to the TSA anyway (considered those 10 mm less aperture properly)
"No i don't feel it being front heavy just well built heavy feel."
With that wedge I wouldn't suppose so :-). Doesn't the flourite melt like ice in the sun? :-)
It's fluorite not flourite.

It cost 1/3 the TSA.
If you had a $10,000 scope and another that cost three times less then it would be I guess -20,000. So so someone paid you to take the refractor off their hands.
No clue what junk you posted.

Awesome looking setup

Chas threads are so entertaining! (No offense).
Enjoy the new scope.

You saved a lot of $$$$.
The Big Question: How are The Views?
And, how would it compare with my '88 FC-100 -- the best 4" refractor I've used so far.

And with the TSA 120
Whenever a 120 pops up on ZEN / CN, I have to remind myself that I'm down-sizing.
From my backyard, natural colors are important, but I'm more focused on contrast & resolution (as in Jupiter).

My Best ED so far for natural star colors was that Meade Series 5000 80 Triplet. But my Vixen FL-80S out-resolved it. I blamed ED vs Flower-right, but there are plenty of other factors.
I should've kept it as a natural-color RFT. And, I liked the hardware. Oh well. (I should nudge CHAS to try one, then pick it up from him -- kinda / sorta did that with my Meade 826.)

Having had the tsa120, Tak fs102, tmb 100/800, Vixen fl102, Vixen fl90, and many other high end APO scopes. The tmb 100/800, TSA120 and the fs102 and the Vixen fl102 were some of the best scopes. Have had the fluoro stars and they were just missing by a slight hairs of what the others delivered. The TMB 100/800 can be pushed to insane high powers. If I had a choice between a Zeiss APQ and the TMB. It would be a hard choice to make
