I remember those days. I love his description of filling out the Orion "newspaper" order form and sending a check.

What a fantastic looking little scope. And having 1.25" instead of 0.965" is a nifty difference in my book. I bet you would take the Celestron focuser and bolt it onto the Tasco to convert it...

Almost surely the Tasco 9V-R also can use the 1.25" adapter. My Pentax J60c can as well, but it needs a short version to focus at infinity. Barely squeezes in.

It certainly can. I converted my 9VR with the Vixen adapter.

I knew the Vixen Planet-80S. The CO62 looks very similar at least. Did Vixen itself also sold this CO62 version?
