Actually, David’s post was very humorous as it was reminding me of the sparring Albie and I were doing earlier in the thread. Yes, I am one of the ‘you guys’ and I found that funny.
Right and right
Your posts are very confusing. They really don’t make much sense. Seems like you’d live to have a 24 Panoptic, but then dislike it without any solid reasoning, which does make sense as you don’t own one.
Surely the "It is the best eyepiece of its classe (not ever made in history) but I won't buy It" and giving the explanations of why this, must be confusing for you.
it was easy to make an assumption about you as you clearly wanted to agree with a comment to see if I was still monitoring my posts in the thread, and when I responded, used it as a ‘gotcha!’ opportunity to stir the pot again. See, that Sir, is called trolling. You’re not bringing anything to the conversation except opinion as you haven’t spent enough time with a 24 Panoptic to make a solid decision on it.
My post was giving some insights and about a future possible eyepiece for F4 newtonian, but will It be the best ever ?? May be you should read.
Finally, everything you have written I fear reveals to the reader that your opinions are biases without any experience using the 24 Panoptic. I’m only revealing that if you haven’t used one or had experience with one, then making biased comments on the ocular is pretty redundant.
No, I have used It twice but I added also another fact that wasn't mentioned, but hell you do not care.

The Televue 24panoptic, best eyepiece ever!

Oh, I’m so sorry. You used it twice. You must be an authority and expert on the 24 Panoptic now. Gotcha.
“But will this be the best ever?” I did read, I never said it was the best ever.
You not buying the ocular isn’t confusing to me. Buy it or don’t. What is confusing to me is your opinions on the 24 Pan when you’ve looked through it, what did you say? Twice?
Right and right. I’m glad we found something though to agree on.

Must be one of your pattern, because It comes over and over, you put words in the mouth of others. I never said I am an expert, I also wrote "I am no one". Nevertheless, not being an expert would disqualify me to post on Cloudynights, is that what you mean?

Yes. Instead of being arrogant you could ask why. In my post there is some indications.
Right and right. I’m glad we found something tho agree on.

The 27mm Pan , it's not a 24mm but was still a fabulous ep . It's sharing the stage with a few other ep's . Never had a pic of the 19mm because I didn't have it long enough .
One of these days I’ll find someone with the 27 Pan and spend some time on it. I really don’t know much about the 27, but I know many who rave about how fantastic the views are through it. I heard it has some slight field curvature, does it bother your eyes or is it too subtle to really notice?

I’m not meaning to come across as arrogant. I’m simply stating that until anyone spends time with an eyepiece, it’s hard to comment on its pros and cons until you get that time logged with it. Ok, expert might be a little extreme, however looking through an ocular twice without really spending time on it with a myriad of celestial objects, seeing conditions and feeling it out, it’s pretty hard to make a definitive decision on it.
I'm not sure what you are getting at? Both experts and novices alike post on Cloudy Nights. Nowhere was it said that only experts can post here. That’s a preposterous claim. You’re being oversensitive now.
I have never seen myself as a pattern. At times I might have to explain to others why a biased opinion on gear isn’t bringing anything of substance to a conversation, but I’ve never had to have a pattern of that. Most people in the forums usually have opinions on gear after gaining actual experience with that gear.

Ok thread done.
It's digressed into other things with this back and forth
