Hi,

Can anyone measure the 3" actual barrel diameter & length on the eyepiece, and correspondingly, the inside diameter and length of the 3" diagonal you use it with?

Bonus for measuring the diagonal's barrel outside diameter, length, and focuser bore inside diameter.

Steady atmo

I hope this is better late than never (busy due to travel and home remodel).

The diameter of the ES 30mm barrel is almost exactly 3.0 inches (may be -0.001").

The length of the barrel is about 40mm.  Note there is a slightly tapered undercut almost to the start of the barrel.

Note that this diagonal is something I cobbled together, not a commercial unit.

As you can see the inside diameter of the diagonal is slightly over 3 inches (this is not a professionally machined part, so I can't give you a precise number).

The inside length of the diagonal where the eyepiece sits is about 42mm.
