If this is the wrong subforum please move.

I have a William Optics 2" durabright diagonal and I'm upgrading to a baader zeiss 2" prism. Can I simply unscrew the WO nose piece and thread that into the Baader? The baader is T/T2 thread but I don't know what the WO thread is.

I have these two diagonals, the WO has an M48 thread and the baader has the SCT thread (50.8mm) so it won't fit.

Although I am confused, you said T2 and 2" in the same sentence. Anyway if it is the T2 prism, it also won't fit, it is smaller.  Baader has a 2inch nosepiece that threads to T2 with safety kerfs (need to buy separately).

If it's of any interest, Agena Astro has a fairly comprehensive treatment of astronomy-related threads here: https://agenaastro.c...1PODByhigWfL0oU

Thanks CloudGazer. I'll buy the baader nosepiece for the baader prism.

It is hard to tell exactly what you are getting, but remember some of these Baader prisms have less clear aperture than a normal 2” diagonal. So you need to consider the field stop of the eyepiece you plan to use with it, and compare it to the clear aperture of the diagonal.
