Anyone have a trusted ebay seller who might have one for sale?  I have one on backorder with HPS but with the tariff thing going on, i may never get to actually recieve it from them.

I see there are some on ebay, but i don't know if they are current version or legit.

Thanks for the help

Ah, ok. I'm not sure how many used astro gear websites exist in the US, aside from AstroMart. Have you checked the classifieds here at CloudyNights?

I find Ebay can be pretty good, as long as you buy from a seller with a good rep and a return policy. If they try to scam you, Ebay is pretty good at offering protection.

Even though I have used eBay in the past, the Classified sections at Cloudy Nights and Astromart are my favorite sites for astronomy equipment.  That way there is the added safety factor of a self-selected group of amateur astronomers.  I have had success with waiting for good deals or even posting want ads.  By using normal history screening practices, I have avoided bad experiences with both of these sites.

Just a couple of months ago I found this deal on an EAF in the Cloudy Nights Classifieds.  When the focus motor arrived it was complete, just as described, and in the original packaging.  On Astromart I see a similar EAF that sold for the same price on 4/7/2025 in the same condition.

There is already one want ad for an EAF in the Cloudy Nights Classifieds.  I would certainly try a want ad if you are currently in a hurry like I was when I used that method to find a specific type of telescope.
