I have some binoculars I'm refurbishing that need the raised painted white lettering on the top covers restored. Anyone familiar of a DIY method to do this? I can only guess at how these binocular companies did it at the factory. Was it done with a pad printer or possibly silk screen? Maybe stencil ....  I would love to hear from anyone who has knowledge of how to do this. 

 

Also, just to clarify, I'm not talking about engraved lettering that is filled with paint.

Looks like dry transfer or press type might be an alternative although not durable unless one were to clear coat over it.
