Hello everyone! Just though yall may appreciate the head's up. Stellarvue is selling off some of their new/old stock of 80/9D lens and cell as well as the Nighthawk version of the lens as well. They are achromatic lenses and have color but for $100 lens already mounted in a machined aluminum cell, I call that a deal! 

 

I placed my order last night for the 80/9D can't wait for it to arrive!

Yes, the 80/9D objective is a really good achromat.  I have owned several 80/9D scopes over the years, and some were better than others.  I really missed one after some years, and purchased a scope from CN.  It has a very good

objective, but I am having to downsize to make room in my house.  If interested, I will put it on the Classifieds-  including objctive cover, 2 inch focuser, 1.25-2.00 inch eyepiece adapter, two metal rings and Vixen dovetail bar.
