Panoptic 24mm is regarded as the best, however for binocular telescope I am thinking that Takahashi 25mm TPL will be equally good. AFOV of Panoptic is 68 deg vs 48 deg of TPL, big difference for telescope use but in binoculars maybe not as important. Am I wrong?

IMHO... AFOV is especially important for binos.  At 25mm focal length, this would be a nebula / milky way sweeping instrument.  48 deg AFOV would be dreadful by comparison to 68 deg AFOV.   Guess it depends what you want too look at.

I have both and they are really completely different eyepiece designs.

The TPL is sharper and more transparent and will show more details on axis, the Pan will give a nice aestetic clean wide field.

In the bino it depends what you want to view and how, both are bino friendly.

Thank you, probably sharper and more transparent is what I am looking for.

TPLs are startling good in that regard. However, I’m not sure I’d recommend them for a fast pair of binoculars. The edge performance will be a lot better with the panoptics in a fast system.
