Thanks to prookyon for the heads up on this supernova in this galaxy that is 100 million light years away.

I had set up for shooting to the North but moved my Dobsonian across the yard to get this target in the South to catch it while I can.

It showed up very clearly as a very bright blueish star, even on the short subs.

Captured over about 2.5 hours with my Orion XT12G Goto Dobsonian and ASi2600MC camera from ~Bortle 7 skies (the 75% moon was out most of the time, but it was low).

Wonderful.  To see 100 million light years, what a privilege.
