It won’t look like most of the pictures you may have seen on the internet, because Saturn will only shine at magnitude .8, far dimmer than Venus.

I'll settle for the winking version then! If I can get that much in the Los Angeles basin I'll be happy. Pat

HI PAT !!!!!!!!!!! It's Mark in Fort Worth. I will be out to watch this as well. I will say that our Sunday night the 20th, located 23 miles NNW of Fort Worth was a GREAT NIGHT for Astronomy !! It had rained Fri/Sat off-and-on...Sunday it cleared and the winds died down to near zero. It was also cooling from 70s down to 50s so moisture was also coming out of the air. Looked for some Lyrid meteors...and I saw about 10 in about 90 minutes.

I'll be out on the 25th if weather permits...more rain this week

Early morning eastern haze has prevented seeing Saturn or Mercury from here, and conditions not likely to improve by then, alas.

I'll have to check the altitude with SS or Stellarium.  I have a house and some trees east of me that block my horizon.

The view from LA 30 minutes before sunrise. With Venus and Saturn just over 4 degrees apart, and almost 6 degrees from the Moon, the crescent Moon "smile" will be a bit small compared to the separation of the eyes. In spite of not really a good smiley face - odd that it has been portrayed that way - it should a pretty sight with a good view east and clear skies.

Too many trees in the forest here prevent viewing the horizon.

It will look NOTHING like the pictures I saw of it! I tried it on Stellarium on both days and also what it would look like from further South, LA.

I saw this morning (5:15 AM) from home.

Last evening, weather forecast were very poor, however sky was clear between 5 AM and 7 AM.

Venus was obviously visible, the Moon was reddish and half hidden by trees, by 5:25 could glimpse Saturn with my 12x36 binoculars.

It was a beautiful conjunction

nothing from Long Beach coastal- solid clouds with a couple  sucker holes to the west..... Poor odds to begin with as this time of year is commonly in the clouds till possibly noon..    Pat

I was fortunate to be able to see it, but not from home. I traveled to the desert to ride my off-road motorcycle, leaving early enough to take advantage of any clear skies, if available:

My handheld camera certainly did not capture the beauty of it, but you get the idea. Some clouds drifting over the Moon.

A bit later Mercury rose up below Luna to join the others:
