I have an 8” F/4 parabolic mirror, with the appropriate elliptical, and mirror mount. As you can see from the etching, the mirror was made by Cave Optical. It still looks good, I’m planning to sell these, but I haven’t been able to find much that’s comparable in the classifieds. What do you think would be a good asking price? Thanks for any help!

Given that bath the cassegrain and newtonian secondaries are ipresent, maybe someone wants to re-create on of these cave-astrola convertible scopes.
But unless you find such, its likely just worth what any other 8" f/4 mirror set has sold for in the past.

The primary is not for a cassegrain. No hole in the middle. That does not look like a Cave mirror cell. University Optics or North Star Telescope possibly. The spider and flat looking secondary do not look like Cave either. Edmund scientific? They used to sell a short newtonian kit. A 6" F10 mirror and cell. A spider with a flat secondary to reflect light back towards the primary. Then just before the primary would be a focuser with a single stalk diagonal holder and diagonal. The finder looks to be Celestron. Miscellaneous ATM leftovers?

I don’t remember where I got the mirror cell. It was not a cassegrain scope.
