Not really the right conditions for an animation with cirrus clouds all over the place and they proved too much after 30 minutes of captures.  Still, some great activity on the sun today with the eruption Rob caught earlier this morning and this activity at 13:10 - 13:40 UTC.  I used Pixinsights Solar Tool Box for one version of the animation to increase contrast a bit on the surface at almost the least amount but I'm thinking it's still a bit much.  Interested in thoughts here.

I think the gray scale disk looks good where it’s at , I would not want to see more contrast , but this is a good shot. I like to see all that detail.

Now the inverted stuff I’m not a fan of , every one I see looks  over processed to me.

The animations have that 3D look , nice job

Dan

Great shots Rigel. On different days the apparent contrast varies alot and I always like to see the features well. But I am no guide to deciding between your different presentations as it has been months since I last attended a meeting of Oversharpeners (and over-contrast) Annoynomous and I fear I have fallen far from the wagon.

Thanks Gary, Dan and Foc!  I'm a fan of the softer processing, I think the tool box is too aggressive.  It is great for bringing up the proms though.
