Is there a way to attach the ASIAir to the bottom of the SA 2i Dec bracket?

HI All,

I recently bought a SA 2i and an ASIAir Plus, guidescope and cam (for the plate-solving capabilities). I'm just a beginner. I'm trying to set things up now (see current.jpg) and I found a photo online that shows what I think would be a good place on the Dec bracket to secure the ASIAir (proposed.jpg).

I would need to buy a finder shoe (https://www.sidereal...wo-finder-shoe/), but my question then is, is there a way to connect the finder shoe (which would hold the ASIAir plus) onto the bottom of the Dec bracket as in the photo? I'm advised by someone in AP retail that that particular connector doesn't exist anymore...

Thanks,

Paul

Thanks.

I certainly don't need a red one smile.gif .

So with any of those the ASIAR would attach on the top side and you can attach via the 3/8 " bolt on the Dec bracket to the underside?

Sorry - I'm just trying to work out the detail.

off the top of my head............you will be more likely looking for a 6mm or 1/4" button machine screw.

if its too small for your hole you just need a nut and washer.

A hex machine screw should work as well as the part you have.........is not solid underneath so the head can sit proud of the shoe..........it just has to fit in the slot gap.........otherwise you have to file it bigger which is a pain.
