Just a wonderful morning despite cirrus clouds playing games with me again. Seeing was good, I didn't even have to tweak my tuning when I got the sun centered, and I got a nice, thick prom really putting on a show! I called this the Hula-Hoop prom due to the bit of plasma spinning around the static pillar prom. I don't think I've ever seen this action before. I've seen a number of tornadic, spinning proms, but this is the first where a ring of plasma appears to spin around the central pillar. I caught 2 hours before the clouds made it really dark, and Pixinsight did an amazing job of balancing the histograms near the end of the animation so I didn't have to cut it short.
