SkySafari 7 Pro failure to connect with SynScan/AZGTi

Problem:  My SkySafari 7 Pro running my AZGTi mount will not connect with the SynScan Pro.

 

The device I am using is an iPhone 7.  I have both SkySafari 7 Plus and SkySafari 7 Pro loaded onto this phone. The mount is SkyWatcher AZGTi running in Alt-Az mode.

 

SkySafari 7 Plus will connect with the mount via SynScan seamlessly, but SkySafari 7 Pro will not connect at all. 

 

The settings for the scope in both my SkySafari 7 Plus and 7 Pro apps appear identical.

 

What am I overlooking?

Further clues:

 

SkySafari 7 Pro loaded on my iPad does link with SynScan Pro, which points to an issue with the way SkySafari 7 Pro and SynScan interface, or rather attempt to interface, via an iPhone 7.

 

As SkySafari 7 Plus has no issues as the interface conduit between SkySafari 7 Plus and SynScan, I wonder if the non-connectivity with 7 Pro is a relatively easy fix.

Hello Jim,

I'm not an I.T. guy, however occasionally I run into these issues with Apps. Some times it happens after  phone updates or what ever. I usually check and see if the App needs to be updated by going to the App Store (ios) or Playstore (Android) and see if there is an "Update App" bubble next to the App Icon. These updates are not always automatic. Or, I will try deleting and re-installing the App and sometimes that fixes the bugs. I am glad that I decided not to delete SkySafari 6 Pro after downloading SkySafari 7 Pro. I actually like SkySafari 6 Pro a little better in some ways.

I’ve got the latest version of SkySafari 7 Pro, but I’ll delete and reinstall it after I’ve installed the latest update to my iPhone. I’ll get back to you if successful.
