I don’t think I’ve seen this posted here before. Black and white Celestron C16 on eBay https://www.ebay.com...emis&media=COPY
$26,000 seems like a bit much.

I wonder how sharp or mushy that is?

The Q6 looks down side up. No thanks to 2.4k for that.

The 4-inch Celestron refractor on the tall pier mounting that is currently listed on eBay--where do you find those strange looking castor sets that sit underneath the tripod leg tips? Do the three metal leg struts just sit in the castor cups, or are they attached to the ends somehow? I would love to find out where to buy these castor sets if available from a local hardware store or another online source.

That Q6 has been on eBay before . For some mysterious reason they unbolted the mounting saddle from the middle of the OTA and put it on the front and added some kind of mounting strap (now gone). Maybe they had it mounted on a GEM and used the saddle as a piggy back camera mounting point (its a 1/4-20 thread). Its also been converted to straight through focus. Front of the OTA is so scuffed up maybe they used is butted up to some kind of port in an industrial or military imaging setup?
OTA has been messed with since they had to disassemble it to convert to straight focus but it may have needed that fix. Price is steep, get it cheaper, bondo holes, paint it and put it on a GEM, would be an ok scope.

Hard to believe that some people would treat a telescope like that.

There are times when if something isn't able to contribute to the survival of the family, it just gets stashed or sold if it can.
I believe this is why many people say things like... " if that thing could only talk".
