I just became the owner of a vixen great Polaris mount that does not have a motor drive, and I am looking for any recommendations for what to buy to update this lovely mount

I am not certain, so you might want to speak with Astro-Gadget folks yourself, but I believe this kit for the Super Polaris might also work on the GP?

If you're just looking for a single axis RA drive at a reasonable cost, good luck. I am not finding anything in that regard.

EDIT: I recently acquired a vintage Celestron/Vixen C80 on a Polaris mount with an RA drive. Unfortunately you can't use the RA slow-motion control when the motor is attached, so I ditched it. The slow-motion control works just fine and is sufficient for this setup.

The SP & GP used the same motors, so it should work.
