Since the latest update about a week ago, I've had the USB 2.0 ports randomly shutting down and disconnecting whatever I had connected to them.

 

First it was my focuser, so as a troubleshooting test, I plugged the focuser into one of the USB 3 ports (no more problems), but the guide camera I'd moved to one of the USB 2.0 ports suddenly was getting disconnected.

 

I have the USB 2.0 ports enabled in Unity and through NINA, and they work for an hour or two then shut off at random.

 

Anyone else had similar issues?

Yup. Been running a PBAdv v2 for about two years. For about the last month I’ve had random USB issues. Swapped cables, swapped ports, tried different power, etc but haven’t found a solution. Power cycling solves it for 3-4 days and then starts random issues again. Reseating the flash drive or focuser cable sometimes works on that one port im trying to use but not always. Power delivery is unaffected.

Me too.  Glad I found these threads.  I'd narrowed down the issue to the USB-2 toggle in Unity, but there's nothing I could do about it.  I have a second mini computer with an old version of Unity that still works.  Any word on when they are going to fix this?

My PPBA dumped my focuser at some point last night, so that was a loss.  However, Unity just updated to version 2.8.4703.445.  My PPBA still woke up angry with the USB2 ports dying shortly after I turned it on, and a reboot brought them back.  Probably not fixed yet.

Well, I have downloaded and updated to 2.8.4703.445.

 

So far so good, the function of the USB 2.0 port switch is consistent within Unity and within NINA.  I'm going to let is soak for a few hours indoors overnight (raining) to see what happens.
