Has anyone been successful viewing any arm of the Milky Way with the Vespera pro? If so, any comments or coaching to get a good image?

Thanks

And if you read the article, you'll see that it is structured toward using a camera equipped with a wide angle lens, not a Vespera of any kind.

The problem is that this is a matter of scale. The FOV of the Pro is small, and the Milky way is huge (very very huge). The maximum mosaic size of the Vespera Pro is 3.2° x 3.2°. At my latitude (call it 37-1/2 degrees North) the Milky Way is about thirty degrees wide and sweeps from the southern horizon, most of the way to Polaris. And that's only half of it. Come back in six months for the other half. My point is that given three or four hours per mosaic, imaging the Milky Way with your Vespera Pro (or my Vespera 2) is a lifetime project.

On the other hand, every time you point it at the sky, you're viewing a fragment of the Milky Way, so maybe that's good enough.

I’m not sure what you mean? If we observe or image in a constellation, we are looking toward that arm of the Milky Way. Is that what you mean? Or you mean doing a widefield of the Milky Way and maybe the rift?

Here are some great maps of the Milky Way by Pablo Carlos Budassi:
