I am trying to figure out why the power output is not controllable like in the ASIair? I do not see anywhere in the camera air to control output to a dew heater and the heater gets pretty warm when it is on 100%. Do you think this will be a firmware update maybe. Should I look into putting in some type of potentiometer on my dew not strip?

No they are not the same. The air in the camera does not have the ability to turn on and off the power outputs and it also does not have the ability to adjust the percentage of output to those.

The power outputs are not individually controllable on the 2600mc air. I'm guessing it was a cost saving thing. It's just a power bus. Hook up a 12V supply to one of them, and the other 2 can draw from it.

Looking at your image, the input is rated at 3A. Whereas the ASIair input is rated at 5A. Maybe the AIR camera is not designed to run dew heaters?

ZWO chose to use the ASIAIR Mini version in the ASI2600MC AIR instead of the ASIAIR Plus version. Just as with the standalone ASIAIR Mini, the power output from the ports on the ASI2600MC AIR are not user controllable. They simply pass through a steady 12v current at 3amps. This was certainly a cost constraint decision by ZWO. To get around this shortcoming, I purchased a SVBony dew heater strap with an in-line temp controller. Works well. An Amazon search will produce multiple options from a variety of manufacturers.

I can vouch for the SVBony dewbands, been using them more than 2 years.  I have two of the 5V USB type and one 12V RCA.  The 12V one also came with the same 3-level power control, but I just drive it from my Pegasus box now.

I went with the svbony dew heater and the should be here tomorrow. It's a good thing that I went ahead and did that because the Dew Not heater band that I have I read the temperature all the way around and only the first couple of inches was getting heated even at one hundred percent coming off camera.  Thanks
