good day,

I cannot see what is different in the image inspector in ASTAP between 2 windows pc's. both are windows 11 23h3. one is my desktop th eother my mini on my rig. the pc is an intel i7 and the rig is an AMD Ryzen 5 6600H. both have 64gb ram. ASTAP is v 2025 04 03 on both machines, and are configured the same, AFAICT.

when openening the same image on both machines there are major differences in tilt, star detection, hfr etc. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling ASTAP on both to no avail.

From the looks of them I'm guessing the other one is debayered and the othet one is not.

46 stars vs 513? Seems like a star detection setting. Is one of them using darks to calibrate the picture before star detection?

thanks, both are set with the autodebayer off, the histograms show this too, both are redm they change to muti color when debayering is on.

thanks, checking both the results tab and the stack method tab I see no differences.

based on what you and Tapio suggested led me to copy the settings from the pc and load them on the mini. this solved one of the problems, both are identical when inspecting, but it leaves me wondering which was correct and which not, and knowing which setting was the cause.

I'll reply if I discover the answer

thanks again

Yeah but if you look at the first image there's a grid pattern around the bright star - a telltale of non debayered image.
