I made a purchase from the SVbony website in the US yesterday thru PayPal and received a email receipt from SVbony confirming my order in Euros? My receipt from PayPal is in US dollars for payment to the Hong Kong holding company.

I guess this may have something to do with the tariff "thing"?

I got the same also, but on their website the order shows in USD and I was billed in USD.

Maybe the Euro is replacing the Dollar in some international transactions? I saw or read a business report that may happen with a decrease in global confidence in the US bond market or something in this tariff war. And the Svbony holding company is in Hong Kong, China.

It could also be the 145% tariff that was just lowered to 30%. Europe didn't do this nonsense. China and USA are still figuring things out. I would not order direct for awhile but that's just me borg.gif

Yes this does have to do with international trade.

I was out and about this morning and a report on NPR about global reserve currency indicated there could be a shift from the USD. There is "a school of thought" among some in the US that a strong dollar is not always good for trade. A strong dollar makes US exports more expensive and imports to the US cheaper.

1 euro equals 1.12 dollars today. 1000 Euro = 1120 USD

There was a currency transaction involved in my transaction with PayPal. The Hong Kong company preferred to be paid in Euros.
