Was really lucky to have three more days (after my May 8 imaging session that I already posted) of almost completely clear days from May 9-11.  About 24 hours worth of elapsed time captured across the three days.

Here are the videos for the full discs (only):
May 9:  https://www.youtube....h?v=X7VukLoarMM
May 10:  https://www.youtube....h?v=3S6Tabv56Ig
May 11:  https://www.youtube....h?v=YFDpr9T5DPQ

Here are the videos of the full discs followed by the digitally zoomed in close ups of active areas:
May 9:  https://www.youtube....h?v=d4KB3-QWreU
May 10:  https://www.youtube....h?v=_6idGB1UNBI
May 11:  https://www.youtube....h?v=wDKcMkBzybk

For May 9 and 10, the elapsed time is roughly 1 minute per frame, and for May 11, it's roughly 30 seconds per frame.  I took a suggestion to go from 14-bit to 8-bit recording.  A curious thing though: the 8-bit images took much longer to stack--had to leave it running overnight to finish.

I think my favorite parts are the prominences that show up on the eastern limb towards the end of my May 11 data.  Especially the way they peak and twist and fall back to the surface.

Lunt 60, Touptek G3M178MM, Solarquest mount.

I'm not going to complain about the last two days of clouds that let me catch up on the processing. :)

Very impressive work, Kristie! Your musical choices are fun as well.

Capturing full disc is the only way to make sure you don't miss anything – a risk you take concentrating on a region of interest. Your May 11 video bears that out: while the neat prom action you mentioned happens in the east, there're also dynamic proms in the west.

Nice ones Kristie.  Interesting that the smaller files took longer to stack.

You should send the links to Lunt!

One question: how many other sun-related songs are there for you to draw upon? grin.gif

I can think of countless songs with at least the word sun in it, but sun-related, that's hard.  I like the selections so far. Keep them coming!

Thanks everyone! :)

I hope to one day catch a large filament lifting off the surface, or flare that's clearly (in h-alpha) throwing stuff our way.  When that happens, and not before, I will use the song "Here Comes the Sun."  laugh.gif
