Same eyepiece - the second one has an added barlow which gives you more power. It means you can use it for higher magnification targets like planets and the Moon.

The Barlow is a 2.25x Barlow so you can use the zoom as an 8-24mm zoom and as a 3.5mm to 10.7mm zoom.

First link is the Mark IV zoom by itself.

Second link is the Mark IV zoom with attachable 2.25x barlow, but for some reason they used the image of the older Mark III zoom.

Get the one with the barlow. You can use other barlows but it's an awkward stack IMO. Once you get used to threading the Baader 2.25x onto the zoom (in the dark tongue2.gif) you will really like the end result. Sometimes, it's the only eyepiece I use. Good luck with your decision! borg.gif
