Do the old versions of Siril need to be uninstalled before installing v1.4 or can it be installed over the previous versions?

Does anything need to be saved from the older versions, for example scripts, so that they can then be brought over to the latest version installation?

In my experience, you don't need to uninstall the old version - the 1.4 installer will automatically take care of that for you.

It's worth keeping any scripts you used with previous versions, but they may not be compatible with 1.4. Be prepared to do a bit of editing (1.4 provides an editor) to make them work again!

FWIW, 1.4 is leaps and bounds over 1.2 (IMHO).
