Had a tiring day so processing is probably a little harsh tonight but as small as Mars is now I'm just happy to get something to work on.

Used the 14.25" f/3.56 with Paracorr 1, 5x Powermate and ZWO 585MC camera. We had winds today but they died down in time to capture a few clips. This was a stack of 10,000 frames from a 60,000 frame clip.

Yet another superb image, considering the size of Mars at this point in time. Very good work Mike. Keep them coming! Larry

Thanks for the encouragement, Larry. And thanks for all those checking in at this late stage Mars.
It’s been tricky balancing the processing to eke out the contrast but not introduce too much noise - since I’m usually working up the images at the end of a long day, my attention is interrupted by unintended lapses telling me it’s time for sleep!gramps.gif
