NGC 5972 (UGC 9946, PGC 55684 and others) is an odd spiral galaxy located approximately 424 million light-years away in Serpens Caput. The oddity is that this one has a lot of green areas in the arms. Normally this would show up through an OIII filter but redshift would prevent it in this case.
