Really nice effort. I’ve found this galaxy quite difficult to make out look nice, it’s quite a scruffy galaxy if you know what I mean! You’ve done a really good job there though. Lovely details right down to the core and the outer spiral arms coming out nicely.

Nice image! Thanks for sharing! I love M101. It's a huge galaxy, around a trillion stars, can you believe it!
I also love how dynamic it looks - those majestic spiral arms sweeping around and triggering off star formation in those bright areas. They show up nicely if you image it in H-alpha.

Thanks! My first time imaging M101 was May 2023 when I was just transitioning into astrophotography from EAA and those looked pretty flat by comparison. They did have supernova 2023ixf in them though.

Nice job! Most people seem to over stretch the core in order to bring out the faint arms, but you've managed to bring out the faint stuff without blowing out the core.
