Attached below is the June 2025 The Lunar Observer and Observing Guidelines.
Greetings to all. Many thanks to all who have contributed to this issue of The Lunar Observer. I hope that you find this issue interesting. In this issue, there are short articles in Lunar Topographic Studies by:
· Greg Shanos imaged and investigated the Lunar X and Y and also described many of the features around the Mare Orientale region.
· Marcelo Mojica Gundlach explored the giant crater Hipparchus and explained how to study it with a small telescope or even binoculars.
· Istvan Zoltan Földvári and Victor Cseh share the results of their simultaneous drawings of Endymion. This was a most interesting project that needs to be attempted again.
· Alberto Anunziato shared with us more studies of wrinkle ridges, including Dorsa Geikie and Dorsa Mawson, the topography of the arch in wrinkle ridges and a tiny version of Schiller in northern Mare Imbrium.
As always, Tony Cook has provided in depth studies in Lunar Geologic Change and Skylar Rees has an interesting article in the Buried Craters and Basins Project.
Many thanks to all who contributed, and to all interested in The Lunar Observer!
Please try to zoom the ALPO annual meeting on July 25-26, 2025. See page 5 for details.
