Due to the lack of bespoke options in my neck of the woods and because I don’t like headlamps I’ve resorted to AliExpress.

These little things are ok in a pinch. Two methods of activation, either press and hold for temporary illumination or toggle a little switch to turn it permanently on. Bright enough to see by without ruining your vision and I wrap a slip of tape around the outer edges of the bulb for extra precaution. You can also ‘damp down’ the entire bulb if you want to.

Obviously if you point the light at yourself head on you’re done for but with careful use they are ok. Also they are held together with little screws so replacing the button battery shouldn’t be an issue (Although I doubt they’ll last that long but we’ll see). Small and pocket friendly so they don’t get in the way and I got five for a couple of quid so cheap as chips to boot. I’d prefer a more robust solution (That Fiscus light looks really nice), but it is what it is and I live where I live.
