Has anyone had experience with this $399 telescope?  I saw a video that displayed amazing astroimages. Hard to believe that is possible for $399.

Welcome to the smart telescope forum, a better home for your question than General Observing and Astronomy. As others have explained, there are a number of threads about the Seestar S30. The unbiased executive summary: A fair number of the scopes show star trails on one side of the image, and ZWO does not consider this a defect. The S50 tends not to suffer from this. Make sure the store you buy it from has a good return policy.  Another way around the issue is to shoot in mosaic mode, which is a lot slower.

In general, you can get a good idea here of what these scopes are capable of, and what people complain about.

Hi, could you please post a link to the forum account mentioned? I'm also facing a decision.
