I was out the other evening in variable high cloud conditions such that I opted to use AutoHistogram in FC to combat the issue.  I auto stacked the captures in AS!4 which was probably the cause of the variable noise levels from one frame to the next.  As a result I had to perform FFT Denoise on the frames one at a time in Wavesharp as a result. (This amounted to making adjustments to the curves function from one image to the next.)

39% of 750 frames for each of the capture stacks.

Here is a 70-image stitch of the Waxing Gibbous Moon from 6/4/25

These data are not as good as previous stuff so I'll just post the JPEG results here.

This is the full-frame image from which the Plato crop was made.  Conditions were better on this image than the previous one a bit further to the west.

Moving a bit further south we bring in the Hadley Rille and the Archimedes area.

Not sure this one is worth showing.  Messier A and B in high sun.

I took this capture because the eastern wall of Copernicus right at sunrise was pretty spectacular although I don't think this image captures is adequately.

This full-chip image is pretty much centered on Ptolemaeus.

Sunrise on Clavius.  I thought the sunlight bridge between the two craters on the floor was interesting.

Thank you Don C.

What an beautiful set of pics.

You've an excellent eye for framing and details and timing.

I always enjoy the ever changing shadows that enhance the Lunar features.

Favorite pic from this posting;  Sunrise on Clavius (timing is every thing),

Perfect capture on the Plato region.

Thanks again.

Excellent work, thanks for posting these. I really liked the image of the Plato region that has taken my attention recently. You can clearly see 5 craterlets in the image, difficult to image at the best of times.

Thank you for the amazing images.

For what it worth from an old man new to observing and learning. These images are awe inspiring to me. Gives me targets and inspires me to keep learning and stacking. I truly appreciate you when you share your work.

Love these here in this thread. Made my day!
