I've dealt with several, Celestron, skywatchers, bresser, svbony.

Celestron were great on two occasions. Once, when my starsense DX mount axis were tight, they paid to have it picked up and replaced.2)My focuser for my 70mm travel scope was broken, was after 6 months of having it.They immediately sent me a replacement.

Bresser (E.S)
I have their dob and a few of their cheaper cameras. Had a few issues with both their cameras. They replaced the wire and they are very quick to get back to an email with a reply.

Svbony
Their customer service is great. Purchased a lot of accessories from them from diagonals , eyepieces , collimators ,telescope but as a gift for my brother. Had an issue with the zoom eyepiece, it was a very minor fault. I sent them a video showing the fault, they sent a new zoom and didn't ask for the faulty one back. I managed to fix the faulty one so I now have two nice zoom eyepieces. They really are invested in their customer service ,they will reply back and want to do anything to help which is a big change as some companies, you have to email a couple of times as it seems whoever responds has a different opinion ,some may want to help ,others may not.

I've never had a problem with any of the major companies' customer service departments. I've had excellent experiences with Explore Scientific and Astronomics. My only negative experience has been with ebay. I learned that ebay is not a place to buy astronomy equipment.

agreed on all of the above.  i'd add that i've had incredible support from sky-watcher.  our roll off was left open once during a rain storm (don't ask).  our sw 120 ed took on about a quart of water.  the space between the element filled up.  they told me to send it in and spent a great deal of time getting it right.  no charge.

Hello Arkade,

I've pretty much have had excellent to outstanding  customer service from most  Astronomy related companies. So far the only company that gets a ☆ 1/2 out of ☆☆☆☆☆ is ZWO but only on the Chinese side of the customer service equation, that is a real PITA to deal with. However, On the other side of that equation,  ZWO's U.S.A. based Repair Depot customer service rates a full ☆☆☆☆☆. Unfortunatley you have to get through ZWO's Chinese side in order to get to the domestic Repair Depot side. ZWO should address and correct this issue with their business model, because customer service ratings matter.

HAPPY SKIES AND KEEP LOOKING UP Jethro

I'm the last guy to ask. Sky-Watcher, Zhumell, SvBony, Orion? Nothing ever broke. I often wrap eyepieces in tee shirts or a Seagrams Crown Royal bag and I won't set up on concrete. The high tech aiming software never happened.
