So, I have a opportunity to purchase a few items from a buddy, he has a Samyang 85mm f1.4, a Rokinon 50mm f1.4, Canon 50mm STM for a really good price. I have been interested in the Rokinon 50mm f1.4 and the Samyang 85mm f1.4 for Astro purposes and general photography purposes, I uses a Canon SL1 but have recently purchased the ZWO adapter to attach a AasI585mc Pro camera to a lens as well since I have a Rokinon 135mm, I was curious to see what the thoughts have been on the 85mm lens more so than the 50mm, but could possibly purchase both for a really good price. I have read a few mixed reviews, yet going to Astrobin and looking at the images, there are some really nice images using both lens and both a dedicated astronomy camera and a DSLR. So any help would be great. I know with the Canon STM it needs a power source to be able to adjust the focus, or use step down rings, but its a f 2.8 v.s the other 2 which are f1.4, so a little help and feed back would be great. I would LOVE to get a Sigma ART, but its just not swingable right now for me, not for another yesr or so, and I am dying to get a good image of Rho this summer along with a really good shot of Orion/Barnard loop image this winter.
