Ok, I just decided to plug in the HC and try CFM to update again.

Not sure why, but it UPDATED!!!!

I am now on 6.51....But something else now failed.

See picture below.

I tried this through the HC, and I tried it through the Wifi module.

Also, which is which?  Which one is the actual Skylink Wifi Module?  I can't figure out what the actual version is from the Celestron site is supposed to be here.

Strange,

It seems I am on the latest firmware version of the dongle.

I excluded it from the device list in CFM, and said my Wifi Accessory (AMW007) is all up to date.

I mean, I can connect to it with Skyportal and CPWI and it works.

I ran into a similar issue on my 130 SLT mount and Nextar+ HC.

What I figured is somehow, if you update HC and MC (The CFM seems to update HC first, then MC), that it corrupts whatever it's flashing to the MC's and makes them inoperable.

I had to downgrade the HC using CFM first, then got rid of CFM. I used MCUpdate with older firmware and re-flashed the MC's. So it seems the MC's bootloaders were intact, but whatever was flashed was wrong/corrupted. Then I used CFM to update the MC's to the latest firmware first. Make sure you unclick the HC so it won't update that first! Then once the MC's were flashed, I updated the HC with CFM to the latest as well.

This seems to be a common issue with the order in which they flash and people getting 16/17 error. This was back in September, and I'm disappointed they haven't fixed the issue yet.

I hope this helps someone.

I posted my process here as well: https://www.cloudyni...tes/?p=13713646

Ya, not sure why it all of a sudden "worked", but the HC and MC are both on the latest.  I just need to confirm that the two wifi pieces are on the latest firmware.  Specifically the Wifi Accessory (AMW007), cause I have the Homebrew dongle on the way :)

But if they are both on the latest version, then screw it, I am done, and going to look at stars......if this Seattle weather ever leaves Dallas.

CFM does not yet include firmware for the "WiFi Accessory Bridge 3.5".  Too new.

I forgot to do this yesterday....mlord, thank your for the help here.  I actually learned a LOT.

And thanks for the offer of flashing the board for me.
