Had a nice solar transit today with the ISS just north of 60 arc-seconds. Captured a good 77 frames on the sun with an SV70T + ASI462MC with white light solar filter.

That is cool.

What mount did you use? Tracking ISS?

I used an old Super Polaris mount with just an RA motor. I did some post processing to have the video track the sun, I really like the affect.

Well done, and an interesting viewpoint following the ISS with the sun flying by underneath waytogo.gif

Hi,

what a beautiful video. Congratulations.

What program did you use to block the ISS in the center of the video?

It's an unusual point of view, very suggestive.

I batch scripted all the individual subs in Photoshop to triple the canvas size (9x the area). Then recombined into a video, then in Filmora video editor I created a Pan and Zoom effect on the video using the same size beginning and ending zoom, and then just moved the start and end pan boxes through trial and error so it followed the ISS as seamlessly as possible.

The hardest thing of all of this was making it into an animated GIF that was under 500KB! lol.gif

Thank you so much for the precise answer.

I don't think I'll ever be able to create a video like this...undecided.gif

Even just compressing the Gif to 500 Kb would be a success, usually it never happens to me.lol.gif

Sure you can! I used pretty modest equipment to capture it and a lot of the processing steps can be done in freeware.

Great take and such a different look at a transit!
