I sold the Quark so this will likely be my last image taken with Quark.

Nice protuberance even today.

Impressive! Now that you sold your Quark, what will you be using going forward?

Thanks!

Per my sig - Acuter Elite Phoenix 40 (which has proved to be a real performer).

Also maybe Skywatcher Heliostar (some day).

So do you feel like the Acuter can give you the same level of detail/zoom as the Quark?

No, they are two different things.
After 20 years of this hobby (both nighttime and solar) I want to concentrate on things I like to do - and I value ease of use.
So I minimize. Sold my heavyweight CEM60 mount, sold Lunt and now the Quark.
Must say that I'm so happy with the Acuter solar scope that I could sell the Quark.
Might try to attach it someday to my 80mm refractor - if it's not too difficult project.

As details maybe Acuter is better, but as zoom, with the native 400mm FL of acuter i don't see myself imaging the sun forever for full desk only, also i was able to afford Lunt 40 at some point, but then i decided on the Quark because i wanted to use many scopes apertures, and the one i bought is the Combo version so i can use it with reflectors that has big focal ratio if i can afford the D-ERF for them, if the Acuter came out like 2 years ago it might be my choice, it kind of reminding me of Conorado PST as an affordable option for Ha.
