Happy Father’s Day These are my Father’s Day sun captures.  There is a lot of prominence action on the Corona.  I put the inverse images to able to se the prominences better.  Looks like there are more solar spots.  Should have better viewing tomorrow when there will be less clouds..  I think for imaging the Barlow lens does better close up views than the 2.5 Powermate but for visual wow that power mate is real nice.  I have to turn up the gain on the camera considerably to get a proper exposure versus the Baader Barlow.  There definitely is more mag.  Not fair with real bright conditions to compare.

Nice work, particularly the close ups half discs around I think, AR4115. I think you have reason to be happy in your imaging on Father's day.

For my ds80 around 1.6x is likely best with the 533mm and 3.75 pixelp, but I abuse physics a bit and so also image at higher magnifications which gets those small spots to a better size. I find manual focus and (localized) tuning a little easier at around 2.5x
