Years ago I read here of a very reasonably priced Dob that was an ideal first or portable Newtonian for a beginner.  It was affiliated with a non-commercial organization or group.  That's about all I can remember other than people were very impressed with it, especially for the cost, somewhere south of $300.  I'd appreciate any help in the matter.  A friend wants to buy his granddaughter her first telescope.  Thank you for any answers.

The AWB OneSky is out of stock unfortunately. I think this Sky-Watcher Heritage 130mm f/5 Tabletop is basically the same scope:

Clicking on the more info link on the Products page, indicates a "expected to be less than $200.00 " for the 4.5in f/8 kit with a low power ep. That info may be out of date. Definitely would need to try to contact him through the website.
