I have a Vixen GP and this one:

Except the brownish colour it looks exactly the same as the GP. Is it a GP? No labelling at all

On this cool, fast extending tripod

it easily takes a TS 152 f/5.9 frac or a Mew 210 without any wabble

Thx for the fast reply.

CG5? exact clone of GP?

Yes, sort of surveyor. Absolute low weight, absolutely stable, absolutely fast, absolutely made for grass grounds

CG5s are all over the place in terms of how good a clone they are and how well made and performance.  Even those from a single vendor, for example Celestron, varied from year to year.  It's a crap shoot: some are nearly as nice as a Vixen and some are junk.

CG is from Celestron and EQ5 by SW. Can we say then that EQ5 and CG5 are the same the former sold by SW the latter by C?
