I've finally made an upgrade- my venerable 5dmkii has been relegated to daylight photography and I've picked up a Canon 6D! No need to check your calendar, no it's not 2009.

I'd like to go portable and try my hand at taking wide nightscape panoramas. Lots of different info out there with star trackers, gems, ball heads, ect. If there's a simple solution that you like for stitching foregrounds and tracking stars, I'd be glad to hear it.

Well I suppose if no one wants to talk about this the question must be sufficiently answered in other posts and there's nothing new to discuss. I'll just refer to older posts, then.
