Now if the weather will ever cooperate....

Narrowband of the Crescent area, this with the SVBony NB filter, which is narrower than my Askar C1. Pretty cool, but was shooting through high clouds most of the night. With more time, and possible editing each channel separately, I think I can do a lot better. Clear skies unexpected, looks like another week of clouds now.
Beautiful image

Amazing. I would love to know the story behind that mental rig. Goodness. I can only imagine what one could do with that!
It is called the Condor Array telescope and it is at Dark Sky New Mexico.

We were touring the facility when I saw it.

Very nice Matt!
It's officially summer in Texas which means mosquitoes the size of dragonflies, hurricanes to the south, tornados up north, and the start of nebula season. I'll lead us off by posting last nights quarry, a 4-hour shot of Barnard 72 in Sagittarius. I have not done a lot of work with dark nebulas so this was fun. I intended to collect 10+ hours before sharing anything, but here we are...
120 x 120" Lights (4 hours flat!)
30 Dark, Flat, Bias
Equipment in signature
Processed using Siril, GraXpert, Starnet, Photoshop, and Lightroom
It looks a little washed out on the right side of the image because toward the end of the night my scope was pointed directly at the sun thanks to the neighbors...
Anyway the spirit of these Texas threads is that everyone's welcome and the only rule is to keep it friendly, the Texas way! We're glad you're here.
Cheers and clear skies

Oh wow, I didn't realize that was the Condor Array - that's the telescope I mentioned in my previous post. It's where the data for the paper I link to was collected!

Apparently t-shirts count as astrophotography equipment because my wife bought me a new shirt yesterday, and we got right at 5 inches of rain in about a 2 hour period that afternoon! Or could it be the OAG I got Thursday, couldn't be, right? She got the shirt from https://astroattire.co they have some fun stuff.
