The seeing was really good this morning but there were some wispy low clouds as dawn approached so I decided to NOT do an entire series for a mosaic.  I just captured these six frames.  Each is 50% of 750 frames.  Sharpened in BiggSky and then denoised and local contrast enhancement in Wavesharp 3.0.

I'll just post a few JPEG frames here one after the other.

I also did a few crops of specific features and they resized them up to the 1200 px height limit.

I've gotten into DSO rather than Lunar, but I'll give you a photographer's highest compliment:  I wish I'd taken those.

This one of Kepler made me remember, I've always thought the ejecta material almost looks like it was liquid spatter, particularly on the areas left and upper left of the main crater.  A very tight image.  Very nice!

Just magnificent images throughout dcaponeii !

FINALLY an unequivocable image that Aristarchus interiour has a distinct blue tint, as well as the very nice colours at the other end of the spectrum, of the plateau itself and its mottled rust coloured look.

I've seen Aristarchus's blue tint a couple of times in my F/9 100mm apo and once so well that it looked like it was glowing from the inside out and casting a vivid blue spotlight out of it.

Fabulous images that shows when you can you definitely should.

Sinus Iridum

And Rima Sharp, very well caught. Astonishingly, this morning 22. June 5AM (3UT) I was able to get a glimpse of it with my 107/600, although the seeing was not that good. Something I never managed to do in the suiting, crescent phase in several tries. confused1.gif

regards

Fantastic images. Were these captured with your 12" or 16" scope?

Paulm

The 16" scope imaging with an ASI676MC at f/10.  4ms exposure, Gain manually adjusted to G = 70% Histogram for each capture frame.  750 frame captures typically require about 20s to complete.
